I can’t believe that just like that we are at the mid-way point of the season, and man, has it been quite the season thus far. As we continue to review film on a weekly basis, we also want to show off some of the prospects who are flashing serious next-level talent!
Here is a quick 4 for Week 4 of prospects who made some noise this past week:

Drew Meyer, 2028 – WR – Elkhorn North – 6’4″ 210 lbs – (@DrewMeyer09)
Elkhorn North’s Drew Meyer is a player who is very high in our 2028 recruiting board and has really shown why as he’s begun to settle in during his junior season with three straight 80+ receiving yard games. In the Wolves Week 4 win over Grand Island, Drew recorded five receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns while showing a well-rounded skill set. Drew stands out immediately with a 6’4″ 210-pound frame with great length that gives him a very QB-friendly catch radius. For being a bigger-bodied pass catcher, Drew moves very well especially as a route runner where he displayed the footwork and quick change of direction to shake defenders in coverage. He also showed some moves after the catch to evade tackles and keep fighting for extra yards. Meyer’s route running also allows for him to be used at all three levels of the field, making someone you can hit on a deep shot down field or as a reliable target to help move the chains on crucial downs/red zone situations. Great job elevating to high point the ball and can handle contact through the catch process.
Gregg Smith, 2030 – RB – Malcolm – 6’1″ 190 lbs – (@GreggSmith2030)
Malcolm’s 2030 class is one that could field a number of next-level prospects including RB/LB Gregg Smith who is fresh off his biggest game yet. Smith’s seven carries for 158 yards, four touchdowns, four tackles, and forced fumble helped lead the Clippers to a 42-0 win over Palmyra. When you cut on the tape, you see a prospect who already looks more developed physically with a sturdy 6’1″, 190 pound frame as only a freshman. This frame holds up well as a RB that can absorb contact as well as dish some out himself with a lowered shoulder or stiff arm. His speed and acceleration in the open field really caught my eye as he quickly opened huge gaps between him and defenders once he hit his top gear— I don’t have an official 40-time but he was zooming on tape. Very explosive as he hits his lanes with great balance to fly past weak arm tackles. Subtle cuts and jukes allow him to bypass defenders in the open field. Smith also flashes a lot of upside on the defensive side of the ball, where he plays with great instincts and an excellent drive for the ball. Physical linebacker who can fit the run and has the lateral quickness to be effective in coverage. The Clippers already house one P4 prospect, don’t be surprised if Gregg joins those ranks sooner rather than later!
Harper Klem, 2027 – DL – Lincoln standing Bear – 6’0″ 245 lbs – (@Harperklem2027)
Standing Bear’s Harper Klem is a player who is flying under the radar at the moment despite having a great start to his senior campaign. I had the opportunity to watch him and the Grizzlies in Week 0 where he had a great showing then and has only continued that momentum. The numbers may not always pop off the page, but the impact definitely reflects on tape, where his twitchy get off and great use of hands to disengage have made him a force coming off the edge. He has a fast first step and shows great bend when turning the corner. Klem’s motor is constantly running and results in several plays like hurries and pressures where he clearly disrupted the play and great effort tackles where he’s hustling from across the field. Great job containing the edge against the run. Looking forward to checking out Harper’s senior season tape!
Parker Hatch, 2027 – QB/ATH – Minden – 6’0″ 185 lbs – (@ParkerHatch10)
The Minden Whippets are rolling into a 4-0 record at the mid-season mark, with QB/ATH Parker Hatch getting the job done through the air and ground. Against Milford, Parker completed 4 of his 6 pass attempts for 57 yards and a passing touchdown, with an additional 18 carries, 164 rushing yards, and three rushing touchdowns as a runner. Overall, Parker is a great athlete with a solid frame at 6’0″ and 185 lbs and a reported 4.6 40-yard dash that definitely flashes on film. He possesses a strong lower body and great contact balance that allows him to absorb tackle attempts while maintaining his feet underneath him to keep fighting for extra yardage. Parker isn’t a super flashy runner, but he does show the ability to go north-south before hitting his one cut to flip the run to the outside where he can outrun defenses. Solid burst and acceleration when hitting his lanes. Hatch also shows upside on the defensive side as a CB where he is a smooth cover corner with the agility to stick to a receiver’s hip pocket throughout their route and challenge them at the catch point. He’s also able to break off outside blocks to sniff out outside runs or screens. Versatile player who could play a number of positions at the next level!
